Donna Thiele, Psy.D., BCBA-D, LBA

Dr. Thiele is a licensed clinical psychologist, board-certified behavior analyst, and licensed behavior analyst. Her training includes specialization in applied behavior analysis, cognitive behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.  She specializes in treating those with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and their families as well as individuals with behavioral challenges, anxiety, and transitions to adulthood. Dr. Thiele graduated with a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Long Island University, specializing in developmental disabilities. She trained at the May Institute in Massachusetts where she provided school and home consultation to children with autism, behavioral challenges, and families.  Dr. Thiele has presented on topics in applied behavior analysis, social skills, executive functioning, and staff training at local, state, and national conferences. She has consulted children, families, and school systems throughout Long Island for over 20 years. Dr. Thiele is an adjunct professor at St. Joseph's University and is active in professional organizations in behavior analysis, developmental disabilities, and psychology. Dr. Thiele served two terms as a Member-at-large for the Suffolk County Psychological Association, currently chairs two committees, and was named Suffolk County Psychological Association’s “Psychologist of the Year” for 2022.   Dr. Thiele has been quoted in local publications such as Newsday on topics such as depression and adolescent mental health.
